For this little mini project, we were assigned the task of creating an image that showed we understand how to scale images down to size, and how to use proportion to make said images look believable. We used three different sections throughout this image. Foreground, Middle-ground and Background. To create foreground in my image, I used a large tree, and I scaled it to size to fit the terrain. As my middle-ground I decided to add a little bit of humor and have Godzilla battling internet meme star 'Doge'. For my background I pasted a blue sky to add the effect of a nice day (when in reality, the original picture showed cloudy, dark skies). The tool I used most in this project was definitely the 'Refine Edge' tool, which allows one to blend a layer with another, creating a sense of realism. Roxy, our teacher, stressed the point to save this as both a Photoshop document and a JPEG, as we needed to have it be directly editable at any time. To prove her point, she demonstrated what would happen when one saved their Photoshop document as a JPEG, and this resulted in only being able to edit the JPEG in one layer on Photoshop.
