The image above consists of part two of the project, which entailed creating a typographic portrait of something that we love to do, mine being football! We were drawing the entirety of the portrait with words from our letters. | Describe el proyecto... In this project we were instructed to not only write a letter in Spanish (which would end up heading to our pen pals in Mexico), but to also create a typographic portrait using the words in our letters. When first starting this project, I had little to know concept on the conjugation of verbs and adjectives, yet through working with my two maestras (teachers) I was able to accurately determine when to conjugate verbs for different people and groups. Throughout the duration of the project I was able to use resources provided by wordreference.com and my peers to help me easily describe people within my family, and describe myself. Descriptions were not hard for me to learn, as they are fairly straight forward, but I found it difficult to master the technique, yet I don't worry as it should come in time. My art piece took a large amount of time, yet it was far from beautiful. I did feel rushed, however this could be accredited to my mishandling of my time, and not taking enough responsibility. I would definitely say that my art piece is a rough draft, and in the future to make it better I would certainly add color and even manage my time more wisely. Overall? I enjoyed this project, as there was freedom yet I was challenged by the limitation of learning a new language! |
